Justin and his mother joined me in the studio a week and a half ago for his senior session. They braved the heat and sun for some outdoor portraits. I have to say, I'm very impressed he wore long sleeves in 97 degree humid weather and still insisted he was fine. I was wearing short sleeves and burning up. Yesterday, I photographed a few more Elle-Mirai hats. I have to say, they are the softest hats I have ever touched and so beautiful. The yarns they use are simply amazing and they are so well crafted. I am definitely going to get one of their hat-bootie-diaper cover sets for newborn sessions in my studio. Love them! Last weekend, I spent the afternoon with Tanner and his family. We started our session at the Wellman Park. It was beautiful out and Tanner had a lot of fun in the grass. It is so hard to believe that just a year ago this little sweetie was just an itty bitty peanut. Family is so important and family portraits are a great way to create amazing keepsakes. A little over a week ago I had five amazing women in my studio for a four generation portrait. Yesterday, I had a great session with Jon and Amy. The weather was lovely, finally feeling like spring. In honor of Lilly's first birthday, we had a fun cake smash session. She did so well smashing her cake. She was more interested in playing with the frosting than anything else though. Today I had a sweet little three month old baby girl in my studio. Oh my word! She melts my heart! Her blue eyes and chubby cheeks are beyond adorable. She was such a great little model too. Last Friday, I was up in St. Michael, MN for a newborn session with the sweet little guy that is Carter Joseph. He was so much fun to work with. Yesterday, I had Mieka and her little brother, Henry, in the studio for a portrait session. They had a lot of fun, though Henry was done and ready to run after about the first five minutes. It is so hard to believe the little peanut I photographed what seems like yesterday is already nine months old! Peyton get even more adorable with each visit to the studio. This past weekend, families and friends of the 322nd EN CO, myself and my girls included, gathered to wish our soldiers farewell as they leave for active duty.
